Phil Collinge is Made in Manchester’s Head of Development and works closely with Creative Director Ashley Byrne in overseeing the company’s development of ideas for all TV and radio networks.
By trade, Phil is a scriptwriter and has written for stand up comedians, for numerous TV and Radio programmes and for on-line outlets. He has recently written a number of MIM radio dramas for ‘The Independent Online’ including Turing’s Test and the ongoing Suzie Pugh series for children.
He has also written and produced a host of MIM’s documentaries, including Dick Emery – The Comedy Of Errors?, Benny Hill – The Untold Story, Laughter and Tears: The Les Dawson Story and Another Fine Mess: 80 Years of Laurel and Hardy for Radio 2, and Sculptress of Sound – the Lost Works Of Delia Derbyshire for BBC Radio 4.
